Meeting/Event Information

The Connecticut Chapter is offering Study Group opportunities for the following certifications:

•  Certified Protection Professional:  CPP Certification is considered the "gold standard" for security management professionals. This certification validates your knowledge in all areas of security management.
• Physical Security Professional:  PSP Certification demonstrates your knowledge in physical security assessments, application, design, and integration of physical security systems, and implementation of security measures.

• The program is offered at a $150.00 fee to all prospective study participants, $50.00 will be refunded to you once you take the exam (a passing grade is not a requirement for the refund).
• The CPP course will begin on Wednesday evening September 22 and will continue for the next 8 weeks.  Each meeting will run from 6:00 pm to (approximately) 9:00 pm and will cover one CPP Domain.
• PSP sessions will also begin on the 22nd, however PSP applicants should plan to attend the initial meeting and the CPP Physical Security Domain session.  Following that session there will be two additional break-out session (same time, same location).
• It is recommended that you attend all sessions so as to obtain all of the information required to take the Certification Examination.
• Members interested in pursuing the APP (logo) certification are welcome to attend all sessions as well.

The course will provide the following to all Study Participants:

1. An ASIS Study Guide (CPP or PSP) (if needed).
2. A detailed review of the content included in the seven CPP Domains (topics), and the three PSP Domains.
3. How to qualify to obtain a CPP/PSP Certification and where to take the examination.
4. Information required regarding study materials and individual Security Study Domain requirements.
5. How to prepare for a certification exam including test-taking strategies.

NOTE: CONASIS expects to have the ability to have attendee remote access but if you are not in the Connecticut area you should expect to order the Study Manual separately so it can be mailed directly to you from ASIS International.  CPP Study Manual
